Description
Sodium Metabisulfite (Na2S2O5) is a inorganic compound, which is white or yellow crystal with strong irritating smell. It is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is acidic. Contact with strong acid will release sulfur dioxide and generate corresponding salts.
Application:
1) Food Grade:
Blench agent—candies, cake, bamboo shoots, etc.
Loose agent—bread, cracker etc.
Antiseptic and germicide—fruit juice, tinned food, brews, the cereals foods is defended storage etc.
Inhibitor and freshen agent—day lily, seafood, fruit and vegetable etc.
2) Industrial Grade：
Mordant of printing and dyeing.
Dechlorinate of textile after blenching.
Sulphonated agent and reducer of chemical industry and pharmacy.
Blench of paper pulp, bamboo and paper fiber.
Treatment agent of waste water.
Used as a depilator, softener, and wear-resistant agent in the leather industry.
3) Pharmaceutical Grade: In chemical synthesis in the production of acrylic fibre, vitamin K, vitamin A, pharmaceutical intermediates etc.
4) Photo Grade: The sensitize industry is used as the developing agent reductant and the protection of fixing bath dose.
